VoiceEmoQuiz

VoiceEmoQuiz is a classical quiz game with multiple answers, in which the player interacts using their voice. The expressed sentences are then transcribed and analyzed to provide the answers. Further more by analyzing the player's voice, prosodic parameters (such as decibel, pitch and speech speed) are extracted in order to estimate the player's emotions.
VoiceEmoQuiz has 84 questions divided into 4 different difficulty levels and each game session is composed of 15 questions. After any 3 questions the game checks the predominant emotion expressed by the player and proceeds into adapting the difficulty by increasing it or decreasing accordingly. 

VoiceEmoQuiz is currently available in Italian language only and on PCs with Windows 10  and requires the activation of dictation in the user's speech privacy policy: Settings->Privacy->Speech, inking & typing
(Impostazioni/Privacy/Comandi Vocali).

After a game sessions it is possible to check the data extracted during the gameplay, such as the whole recorded audio of the player's voice and the results such as recognized sentences, valeus of the prosodic parameters and the estimated emotion. This files are saved in the format “Test_aaaa.mm.dd_hh.mm.ss" and can be checked at the following path: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\SIA\VoiceEmoQuiz.

StrExSpace Minerva

Since the model produced for VoiceEmoQuiz was successful but needed further experimentation I decided to use it in my university thesis project.
Using an experimental setting produced in my university lab (StrExSpace) a brief survival horror experience in VR with the aim to induce and capture the players'stress. The goal of the game is to escape a spaceship infested by alien creatures.
I've introduced vocal commands as well as using the prosodic parameters to estimate the stress levels as well. By adding Minerva, the spaceship vocal assistant, the player has to interact with her to open doors, ask for ammunition, oxygen as well as other gameplay sequences.
